MEDIA AT ANIMAL KINGDOM - Part 1

During an earlier research writing on metaphorical use of animals by humans I came across many fine facts on animals who are capable to do several things better than we humans. Pondering over those researches I started to wonder how the media house in the animal kingdom would function and with those thoughts must have fallen asleep.

The sleep accompanied a dream and I saw myself stepping into a media house @ animal kingdom. Around me were different spices of animals known for their speed, intelligence, strength and memory. A feeling of godliness praising Gods creations took over me. The context with which we humans say “its law of jungle” or “we are worse than animals” only brings a shame to the human’s understanding about jungle animals.

I was taken into a control room with multiple screens. On one screen a news reader from a human media house was reporting a Rasta Roko in a district as a tiger’s presence in the village was noticed. The human reporter was emphasizing on the failure of the forest department in safeguarding lives of the villagers and voicing villagers demand to kill and not capture the animal. My animal interpreter responded by saying the fact of the matter is that with political manipulations the humans created this village on forest land. Realistically the animal did not trespass, humans have. We in the animal kingdom do not protest, but if we were to come down to protest the humans must know the livestock’s population alone accounts 50% greater than humans. The Humans need to understand the minority they stand as far as their presence on earth is. Human’s tame animals, maybe in few years with artificial intelligence animals could tame humans.

Another animal reporter guided me to a room where a scientific report was being presented. I was told humans in the field of science and medicine use many animal species for trials. It is also known that many humans worship some animals and in irony many humans for long have abused animals by killing us for rituals, or for their desires as food, clothing or fashion. Of the 252 essential chemicals that have been selected by the World Health Organization, 11.1% come from plants, and 8.7% from animals and of the 150 prescription drugs currently in use in the United States of America, 27 have animal origin.

I was also told many animal species create their own pharmacies from ingredients that commonly occur in nature. Birds, bees, lizards, elephants, and chimpanzees all share a survival trait: They self-medicate. These animals eat things that make them feel better, prevent disease, kill parasites like flatworms/bacteria/viruses, or just to aid in digestion. Even creatures with brains the size of pinheads somehow knows to ingest certain plants or use them in unusual ways when they need them.

The media @ animal kingdom regrets reporting disaster, calamity, failures, crime, corruptions, and frauds it strictly ensures responsible reporting. Taking pride of Breaking news or being the first to report in the animal kingdom; it is all about reporting progress, achievements, inventions, innovations.
