DEADLY INFLUENCES

Deadly applies to an established or very likely cause of death. In other words if something is deadly it is likely or able to cause someone's death, or has already caused someone's death. Under any normal understanding one would refrain from being in deadly conditions or situations but that’s quite unlike with most humans. Recent generations with exceptions though have their lifestyle that may just be called Deadly Beings with their Deadly Influences.

We all make assumptions with things accepting them as true or as certain to happen without proof and end up with most deadly errors arising from obsolete assumptions. This is the way of life in the world of the faithless cynic. Gurbani warns us about the demented fool who drinks in the deadly poison, while he believes the Ambrosial Naam to be bitter. That which is for his own good, he thinks is evil. If someone tells him the truth, he looks upon that as poison. He cannot tell victory from defeat. Gurbani talks about mortals exhibiting deadly expressions of slandering, duality, and indulging in 5 deadly sins

Strangely most deadly traps are set by humans for themselves, together we peek into a few deadly influences;

* Setting up comfort zones for yourself is nothing but deadly zones, as in them you lose your potential of what you can be.

* Failing to realize within you the hardening of your attitudes is one of the most deadly misjudgments.

* The world would have been better place but for the deadly misguided sense of compassion, resulting in an increase in sufferings & misfortunes.

* Silence is golden, may work well between husband and wife but in teamwork, it’s deadly.

* Some people desire to remain in conversation, largely with contents of slander, falsehood and abuses. Such peoples tongue are more deadly than a weapon.

* The mother of all deadly sins seems monotony which finds mention in several texts.

* Interest concern or sympathy in recent times is lacking thus making indifference a deadly acquired behavior trait, in some a level of metal disorder.

* Fighting in homes, society between regions is quite destructive but when escalation of fighting builds between countries it strikes a deadly blow to the thousands of extremely fragile people.

* Many of us continue to invite a deadly season as we abuse water taps in our premises to run without reason or with unconscious habits of over indulgence.

* Intense feeling of deep affection is a need in every relation and in all work but developing a world without love is a deadly place to live.

* Much of our pain and sorrow is self-inflicted, an outcome of our deadly egotism.

Informally or in slang deadly implies very good, excellent and cool too. Interestingly, deadly is also used in Ireland with the same positive meaning. In Australia established in 1995 are the annual well-known Deadly Awards recognizing excellence in music, sport, entertainment, and community achievement among Indigenous Australians.

Universally the unchecked, uncorrected doubts and fears, the fatal attractions of sins, the wrongful desires of maya are the deadly influences which can be erased only in the company of the Holy. It is just never too late to be in the company of our Divine and be part of His Hukum. Experiencing Him is a possibility only in ones human life time, do not waste the life time.
