Different Strokes Of Preparedness

In the last 14 months the number of Rest in Peace messages sent by me, have surpassed the cumulative count compared to the preceding 8 years.

We generally prepare for the Best, but preparing for the Worst on some matters brings a better state of PREPAREDNESS. Death while undergoing medical treatment is understandable, however death/s caused because NO medical attention could be given for want of medical supplies, is NOT a state in Preparedness. Our National Health infrastructure and facilities as compared to our population is far below the required numbers.

Working towards a state of preparedness after lessons and learning’s is the BMC in Mumbai. A core Team of 120 people, 1,08,000 employees under the leadership of Iqbal Singh Chahal fighting the crisis along with the Health warriors. Their game changer was replacing Central Control Room with 24 War Ward rooms working with a motto Chase the patient.

BMC a cash rich organisation put money to good use. 1100 extra hands of MBBS final year students were paid 50k salary and given 5 star accommodation. The entire work force insured for 50 lacs. 301 deaths have been reported and next of kin paid the compensation.

Additional fleet of vehicles put to use and linked with the Uber software to coordinate patient movements. 35 big private Hospitals and 97 small nursing homes surrendered all beds to the BMC. Now all registration for patients was only through the 24 War Ward rooms. 4 Large Jumbo sites 2000 beds each to meet patients basic oxygen needs and ICU facility. Self-producing oxygen plants at site to be installed. 47 crematoriums were connected by an IIT created software to manage the last rites better. Degree of readiness working towards preparedness should the 3rd wave surface and containing the 2nd.

Our Preparedness on “DigitalIndia” could have been so appropriately put to use and set a new trend if the recent election campaigns went contactless and digital. The show of strength over large political rallies only aggravated our COVID crisis.

While I observe my surroundings, am I in preparedness to manage myself? Am I doing enough to please the lord to escape Death of the spiritual life? Am I (LIP) Living in Peace this life and preparing for the journey with my soul to Rest in Peace.

“For the journey of the soul, gather those supplies which will go with you here and hereafter." SGGS49.

"Doing deeds of faith, pack up the supplies for your journey, and remain committed to the Name." SGGS64.

Scriptures say, our whole life we should be prepared for each moment, truly said as we need to realise the uncertainty of life. Many already in a state of preparedness as their mind have learnt to overcome anxiety, fear, apprehension, doubt, suspicion, connected with the lord seeking forgiveness for their wrong doings. Being fair, honest and kind to others is seeing Godly presence in one and all. Praying this journey be the final destination.

This level of preparedness is obtained from the Perfect Guru and when HE bestows His Glance of Grace.
