A choice is an act of choosing between two or more possibilities. Primary to choices we accept conditions as they exist or accept the responsibility of changing them. Changing things means making choices which transforms to how we live, how we think, and who we are.
Fair to say life is a matter of choices and every choice you make makes you. Choices can be strength or a cause of friction; choices are made with good intentions or because of doubt, convenience, or conviction. Freedom of choice is generally cherished, whereas a limited or artificially restricted choice can lead to discomfort and possibly an unsatisfactory outcome. In contrast, a choice with excessively numerous options may lead to confusion, reduced satisfaction, regretting the alternatives not taken. What you choose but fail to control the means, object or course, this then invites psychological problems. Accepting responsibility for your life is to accept the actions of your choices that have led to result what is commonly rated as success or failure.
Easy life for few has come with hard choices and there is hard life for many with their easy choices. For a fact if your results are to be different one needs to make a different choice. Blessed are those who stop to wonder how God sees their choices. There are souls who stop to think every day their decisions they choose affect the direction of their lives in one of two fundamental ways; either getting closer to God or further away.
“Let God speak to you”. If you haven’t realized HIS presence within you quite unlike you could hear HIM and make any conversation. Frequent Naam Simran, reading/listening to passages from Holy Scriptures brings clarity in mind that you are actually not on your own. For someone within-you, you have to just think and talk to HIM and you realize his way of communication. God speaks differently for everyone. Often speaks to us through the wisdom of others; people who HE places in our lives to speak to us, implants a thought that just rushes in your mind, nowhere close to what you have been thinking, at times in the form of a dream a vision. It could be a hint from a song, an article that you get to read. Through some gut feelings, some joy, a sense of peace, a pleasant memory, an urge and an unexpected opportunity is how God stirs within you or around you to help you make your choices.
As difficult as it may be, pray the words, “Thy Will be done,” asking God to give you the strength you need to continue to discern HIS WILL and to follow it. Bad choices make good stories, only in press media and the entertainment industry. The ability to judge well is an on-going need hence post a choice prayerfully keep evaluating it. Should HIS will differ from yours, it is prayers and His support to alter the course for HE will influence you for corrective actions, not walking away but by trying harder.
Wrong choices can bring us to the right places, may your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears. Be faithful to them communicate and listen to HIS choice and accept HIS WILL.
