Truly Yours - Voter

“In the court of Justice, both the parties know the truth; it’s the Judge who is on trial”. (Justice JR Midha Delhi High Court). How true, I often felt in some litigation the success of a case is in the competency of the lawyer and truth settles second. Let’s peek into our Political institution and why we Voters need to pray for them. Every political party is but “holier than thou.” and their desperation for power makes them conduct themselves with much hatred and party first agenda. This needs corrections.

A Political party is made up of individuals who organize to win elections, operate government and influence public policy and program for the welfare of the people of the society. Winning an election is the endeavor of every party, fair enough, but how you pursue to win is under question. The use and abuse of money in elections is the beginning to most evils. Money spent by candidates has to be recovered thus indulging in practices of wrongful gains. The desperation to win shadows the human capability of handling failures. Hillary Clinton in her 2017 book entitled “What Happened” states post results remembering calling Donald Trump saying she concede the elections. When Trump lost elections after a term it was not easy for him to concede and there were moments of much political embarrassment for America. Post elections we have our share of entertainment & embarrassments too.

A recent Supreme court bench on 21st July 2021 said that “no political party was interested in framing a law to decriminalize politics by banning candidates against whom grave charges have been framed by the courts”. This is concerning, thus the truly Yours Voter needs to behave more responsibly.

To begin with we need to forgive them, shed our hatred and pray for them. Stop forwarding any SMS with any hate political content. In fact return it to the sender with a message “I have forgiven all tainted politicians and pray for their well-being, you also do so”.

We Need to Pray (WNTPray) individuals with character, integrity, values and basic political training are available rather than better manifestos. Look out for political minds who listen without defending, speak without offending.

WNTPray for candidates having clean records no economic offences and no criminal cases pending in the court of law. Not guilty until proven is a judicial respect, however citizens must absolutely disapprove them until the courts have made their judgments. Delaying judgments is often an advantage for them, it has to stop.

WNTPray they mature faster and stop taking their party differences outside parliament, onto streets and into our homes.

WNTPray parties provide free education and skills training to the weaker sections, rather than reservations quotas only to keep them suppressed and exploit for party gains.

WNTPray the opposition is effective and participates in nation building by announcing its shadow team when the Elected party announces its cabinet. A political term is for 5 years any opposition will have to live its “Banvas from power”, rather than working to debacle the Elect.

The truly yours Voter has a lot to pray for keeping the nation united and securing their liberties and rights.
