Giving & taking is what we have been all doing since birth. As one grows older the act of doing them is supposed to be more responsibly & wisely done.
One must take caution while conducting our actions in giving, be it a service, commodity, an instruction, advice, or charity. Giving should not be conducted with rudeness, arrogance or with any kind of compromises in quality or in quantity. To Give what you have to, must not be subject to delays and only done when questioned.
Many are reluctant in giving to charities. God loves a cheerful giver. Giving to charity is the proof of faith, as those who are close to God are always seeking his love through giving.
“ Zakat ” “ Tithe ” “ Dasvand” in holy scriptures do state the importance of giving some portion of your income to charity.
When it comes to taking, people must refrain to take what is not due to them or take more than their share. Avoid taking out of turn, or exercising pressure and wrongful force. Our spiritually, socially, legally incorrect give & take only adds to our Sins of Commission & Sins of Omission.
Our give and take influences what we Receive.
“The Guru has given me this one understanding: there is only the One, the Giver of all souls. May I never forget Him! If I am pleasing to Him, then that is my pilgrimage and cleansing bath. Without pleasing Him, what good are ritual cleansings? I gaze upon all the created beings: without the karma of good actions, what are they given to receive? "SGGS 2
Care less or be careless in your gives and take we are increasing our bad Karmas to come as pain and sufferings at some time. “ I suffered in pain, when I thought HE was far away; but now, HE is ever present, and I receive His instructions.” Even if some portions of what we receive are the toughest and most challenging moments in our life, simply focus on fairly conducting your Give & Take.
Those who receive his grace find HIM. It takes more than a life time for many to understand, but those who serve the True Guru receive a place in the world hereafter.
