A group of students were a month away from their graduation final exams; their teacher enters the classroom asking the students to sit back keeping all books away. He spoke, education for life is not contained in a syllabus and hence everyone’s awareness should ensure learning’s outside of academic syllabus situations too. I wish to see your preparedness to matters other than our academic syllabus in our Open House discussion today. After every question, row wise one student will answer.  

The teacher begins his series of questions: How to reduce criticism?

A student said before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes. How does that help asked teacher. That way you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes too.

Is there enough being done for Save the Environment?

Yes & No. A small ATM room with an AC and two tube lights is working 24 hours. But to print my receipt on screen it questions, "Print if you must or Save Paper Save Environment".

The next question, is relationship important?

Instantly one got up Relationship status on Facebook should have a limit as to how many times one can change it. Fair but share something on a serious note said the teacher. Another student replied ‘true relationship is about two imperfect people refusing to give up on each other’.

Correction or encouragement?

Corrections are required and many exercise it, while encouragement does much more.

Any mind set on Business or Carrier pursuing?

A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business. A business should be conducted to make other people’s lives better; likewise a carrier should not just be about earning an income it is about self-development & in keeping the betterment of mankind.

Will the next speak on understanding Gratitude?

To be thankful for what you have and you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have you will never have enough.

Is awareness a self-learning?

Yes, awareness is that ability of an individual to perceive, feel and be conscious of people, things, places around you. A must for all to develop this habit as currently it’s a one up ability as humans over AI technology. Awareness is also known to be a big healer and key to success, so if you have it, teach it if you lack, it seek it.

Why must you know ethics?

Ethics helps me know the difference between what to do and what is right to do.

Anything learnt about investments?

While we look at investments all about making money, it’s actually should be aligning your investments with your values and making a positive impact on the world.

Any experience with competition all these years? Competition to a point is useful but to ignore the advantages of cooperation it has increased competition with ugly and wrongful means. Will propagate more cooperation guided competition under my guard.

Few other subjects covered were family, greed, social media, creativity, sacrifice etc. The teacher then spoke; a degree reflects on a piece of paper but many see your education in your behavior. Education must not be a rush in getting a degree. It’s also about widening your knowledge and knowing the truth about the gifted life. I am pleased with the answers but did see some studious minds going blank and not answering. Don’t let studies interfere with your education.
