We do well in finding out “Andar Ki Baaten” but it is all about others and with intentions to misuse it. What is it about those breed of people who explore their own Andhar Ki Baaten. Can learning’s from them be rubbed on us to influence our actions and thoughts in living a better life?
Our first gyan came from an elderly very fit gentleman exercising in the early hours of morning. He shared “the tragedy of life is what dies inside a person while he lives”. A doctor friend next to him pitied today’s youth spending time and money on external looks ignorant of knowing basic Andar Ki Baaten of their body and its mechanism. If only people understand how to maintain the 5 vital organs (heart, brain kidney, liver and lungs), keeping discipline of their thoughts, feed, habits and actions, our bodies would perform better.
Speaking to many youths who just stepped out of their teens reassures hope in better humanity. They said “What lies behind us and what lies in front of us, pales in comparisons to what lies inside us. Long and painful is the process of learning ‘happiness', but the Andar Ki Baaten, is not based on anything or anyone in the outer material world. The day ‘you’ realize, the ‘you’ inside and that ‘you’ refuses to settle for anything average. Then that’s the ‘you’ doing things differently. We may not be perfect yet but our work is in progress".
At at restaurant a glass of water spills on the table, although accidental the young boy was very apologetic and almost in tears. His other friends reacted saying no worries it’s just water, it’s free ask for another glass. An elderly person on next table blessed the boy for his water concerns and spoke to others the Andar Ki Baaten of water. The pizza you eat has consumed 1200ltrs water, your mobile 908ltrs and your leather shoes 8000ltrs. Virtual Water is the amount of water that is embedded in food and products needed for its productions. We speak water is life as it makes up to nearly 70% of our body weight, but do we respect and are we accountable to our water usage.
A deep sea diver confessed, “I first went deep inside myself taking time to explore beliefs, awareness of what I constitute. A realization of the inner support required developing mental and physical strength. To take on challenges in adverse conditions conditioned the mind, sharpening it with required skills. It was only after knowing the Andar Ki Baaten he took upon the dangerous adventure to explore Creator’s creations and life deep down under sea.
A child gives birth to a mother. A first time mother shared Andar Ki Baaten of her pregnancy, "composed was I in all pain and physical changes, realizing the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle”.
Why is something so near but far for many souls to reach? Many do feel something missing inside, they try filling but often doing it the wrong way. Gurbani says “Within the home of your inner being you shall obtain the mansion of the Lord’s presence with intuitive ease”. SGGS13
The state of people who explore andar ki Baaten, Gurbani defines; gur sayvee gur laaga-o paa-ay. I serve the Guru, and I fall at the Guru's Feet. I worship Him, and I am absorbed in the Lord's Name.
The Lord's Love is my instruction, sermon and food. Enjoined to the Lord's Command, I have entered the home of my inner self. SGGS221
