Day in day out we keep making deals, sooner or later you indulge in doing so with the divine. A lot of time, money, energy and effort is exercised as devotion seeking dumb deals with the divine asking for larger than life materialistic objects, selfish gains etc. Devotion is not about deals you make and it is also not about always being superior with the other. If that is the attitude individual has with the divine you have lost Him before you have started.

If you are in truly connect with God you simply seek His grace and be in preparedness for what he does with you. Souls who understand devotion accept what the Lord does with them. Something larger than what you may imagine happens for leading a life of gratitude, seeking forgiveness, sharing and caring for others.

As humans we fail to see the pain of others and are less sensitive to other creations thus easily indulge in damaging or harming them. Being true with the divine and his creations will starve or poison the very existence, why suffering comes after you.

Success takes many to lose their head. Having head on shoulder is to remind yourself “How much work has been left to be done and there is not much you have done”. People with early pride tend to go astray. Do not be in a self-absorption mode as any sort of success is not necessary. Adopt a beginner’s mind set. Choose purpose over passion. Passion runs hot and may run out but combine purpose with reason; deeper are commitments. Discovering purpose is late for many but when they do and when they look back in life understand the twist and turns had reasons to prepare you to enjoy the gift you were born with.

Scriptures preach mortals “Apne Apko Mita Dena” to be with your Lord.

A disciple once asked Guru Hargobind Saheb ji “why is Kada Parshad only served in Gurdwaras and nothing else”. In response Guru saheb ji said. The three main ingredients Atta (flour) Khand (sugar) Kiyo (ghee) apne form ko mita ke go through the tough process of changes to become what they are. That what demolishes the self has easy access to the lord.

“The yellow and ripe wheat goes through process of reaping, threshing and winnowing. The wheat berry is then put to grind to flour like consistency.

Milk is made to curd. Curd is churned to extract butter. Butter is then boiled so that water evaporates leaving behind pure Ghee.

Sugar cane is crushed, juice is heated and filtered then sent to various crystallisation process followed by centrifugation, finally to be granulated sugar.” Likewise mortal must reach out to divine demolishing the self.

Developing a state of consciousness about finding meaning in life must be pursued. At this level you do not question “Who am I” but “Why am I here in this body”. All manner of unexpected events will occur to support you as we recognize that it is what the soul came to do.

The soul’s prompting is the sense of meaning and fulfilment required in one’s life.
