Are we familiar with our Inside - Outside

Hum apne outside, duniya ko dikhane ke liye bahoot kuch karte hain aur khush hote hai,

Kudarat hamare Inside ko dekhte hain, ‘ke woh hum kyon karte hain’.

A religious person had great followings and hundreds from neighboring villages and towns would come to attend. The town he stayed a lady was living from prostitution. A few moral policing kinds went to the religious person complaining she a disgrace to the township where you also reside. The religious person calls her and explains how sinful it is conducting her actions the way she does. The lady responded that tough circumstances in the past and failure to make any decent living, made her choose it for her survival. The religious person asked her if she believed in God. Promptly she replied yes I do, in fact each time I meet with a customer I pray seeking forgiveness from the Divine for what I am engaging myself to. I do because of my helplessness and thus seek forgiveness each time. So if you have trust in God you must stop and HE shall take care of you, said the religious person.

The lady agreed to stop but as time went by the money she had was getting over. One day she goes back to the religious person and tells him, no one cares, no change has happened and now she has hardly any money to survive. Keep patience is what the response was.

A few months later the religious person dies and the same day the lady died too. Dharamraj taking stock of their karmas advises the lady heavenly clearance and denies entry to the religious person. Taken aback the religious person pleads there seems an error Dharam Raj ji I have several hundred as my followers, a 1000 listen to my religious preaching’s and he went on and on.

Dharamraj patiently listened and then said “The world looks at a person’s outside actions, but the Divine majorly looks at your intentions inside you. Your Outside actions is getting you benefits down there, look down there are over 1000 people gathered for your funeral, they will burn you in sandal wood, they are holding your photos will also construct your statues. But in our books you have no earnings. When you recited you did not sing to the Lord, it was about your following, they were experiencing you not the Divine. People who focus on their own popularity, power, and authority may be impressive, pleasing and entertaining to the world, but for the Divine how you manage your inside which comes with much, sacrifices, sharing, caring, discipline, love and oneness is important.”

Dharamaraj then spoke about the lady whose outside actions brought her no karma gains. Look down again there is no one to claim her body and even conduct her funeral. However her daily prayers knowing and acknowledging her sins, seeking forgiveness all the time takes her through heavenly gates.

We over do everything for our outside, that which has no worthiness beyond this world. None is without sin but your inside knows you sinned, so seek forgiveness, be in remorse and pursue penance that keeps the soul worthy for journey beyond. It is one’s inside that meets the Divine.
