“Are you Listening” are three words told to us time and again either calmly or harshly during our upbringing by parents, brother/sister, a teacher, a bully at school/college, the boss, a land lord, etc. Older we get it is much common between husband & wife, elderly parents and a close friend. Hello – “Are You listening” in political circles is yet to be ascertained, but the questioning alone has resulted in an expense over 133crs with disruptive parliament sessions since 19th July 2021. Much of our evil doings of wrongful desires, wrongful use of power- position and wrongful materialistic earnings happen when we are not listening. We need to replace our thoughts and actions with the true spirit of service. For serving another human is recognizing HIS presence in others and thus serving God.
Let’s reach out to the One who listens and whose listening keeps all social systems for “Sarbat Ka Bhalla”. Gurbani says “Fruitful and rewarding is that service, which is pleasing to the Guru's Mind. When the Mind of the True Guru is pleased, then sins and misdeeds run away. The Sikhs listen to the Teachings imparted by the True Guru. Those who surrender to the True Guru's Will are imbued with the four-fold Love of the Lord. This is the unique and distinct life-style of the Gurmukhs: listening to the Guru's Teachings, their minds blossom forth. SGGS314
