We are used to asking God for help all the time. Have you ever thought to ask God if you can help HIM. Being helpful to HIM is getting HIM to do HIS work through you.

Man is much occupied fulfilling his personal needs and doing for others is still a far off matter. The attraction for worldly desires keeps increasing and never ending. We smarten our skills in asking Gods help for our selfish needs. If there was a choice of one wish and multiple needs a human would pray Dear Lord increase my expenses.

Our conversations with God are not meant to be one way. Scriptures do guide us, however some unaware and others interpret wrongly to suit their convenience. There are these lines in Gurbani most recite "Jo Mange Thakur Te Soyee Soyee Deva." (Whatever I ask for from my lord HE gives that to me). Reciting just this line we have wrongly established an understanding that God is an ATM kind machine, you shall ask and you shall receive. Reading in isolation a line truly misses on the central theme. Sometimes HIS answer is “wait,” or “not yet”. Other times it's a flat out “No”,

HIS will for you is better, knowing HIM well will help understand His giving’s. The whole universe HE manages so precisely but fragile is our trust, belief and faith broken on disappointment of a single prayer.

We need to learn and do it young; How is one bound and how is one freed of his bounds? How to meet the Lord and not be separated from HIM? How one can escape the cycle of coming and going in reincarnation? Who is subject to Karma and who is beyond Karma. How is one separated from HIM and who can reveal the way? What is that word, by which the wandering mind can be restrained? What are those teachings, by which we may come to meditate on the Supreme Lord? What is the lifestyle by which we may come to meditate on the supreme Lord.

The Sikhs faith is called Gurmat in which it does not endorse chanting mantras, fasting, pilgrimage, idol-worship, or superstitious rites and rituals. But it assures us that humans have the innate capacity to become “God-like” provided we make a deliberate effort to cultivate Godly-virtues and good qualities of heart and mind.

It is the Lord that extends HIS power in all four directions, and places HIS hand upon the head of HIS dear disciple, HE will gaze upon you with HIS eye of mercy, HE will dispel the pains of HIS slave. It is the attachment we must have with HIS Shabad and be in constant state of forgiveness and then the Lord of the Universe comes to save HIS humble servant. HE hugs us all and in HIS embrace erases our sins. It is then you are in the state of whatever “I ask for from my Lord and Master, HE gives that to me”. It is thus whenever Nanakji recited, it was the Bani the Divine was showering. The Shabad Guru is the blessings from the Divine true then, now and hereafter. Follow HIS path, have faith and do not fear for HE is always with us, HE will uphold us with HIS righteous right hand. We often wait for the right hand of God but sometimes the hand is you.

I pray you are the chosen one and Waheguru takes your help to do HIS work through you
