When in peace with yourself realize the difference between choice of “Asks” or “Wish” in a prayer. It matters how we influence our asking or how fair are we in our wishing.

The mind expressing a wish feels a strong desire or hope for something that can, may or probably will not happen. Chances of being granted a wish betters if you are no stranger to HIM and have in the past always been in gratitude for what you have otherwise been receiving. There is need to develop HIS trust for our wishful desires and certainly not without responsible commitments. Wish is often a selfish desire wanting to reach the top without going through the grind of the Godly way.

Let us take an example of two people under similar situations of monetary needs. Both reach out to God in their way of prayers.

One person keeps wishing and expressing to God give me more money, playing the emotional card cribbing his state of poverty. He brings no change in his aptitude, no effort in working harder, longer or smarter.

The other person in his communication with God Asks Lord “I’m hurting for rent money this month because of doctors’ bills. Please help me pick up some extra hours at work or some other part time jobs, so that I can earn more and pay the rent. Express your share of sacrifice’s, your extra bit in supporting the ASK. Few mortals go even further committing to share their benefits of the ASK with other beings and creatures.

A parent asked me to pray for their child to win an important tournament scheduled in few days. At my Amritvela communication time with my Guru sahebji, I wondered that the opponent of the child must have or will also be reaching out to divine. A wish to win may be too selfish to express. My wish changed to an Ask. I put myself in the child’s place and prayed “Dear lord bless me to train harder, keep good health as the entire body’s contribution is required, help me better my stamina, develop speed, reflexes, alertness to be in a position to return every shuttle back to my opponent’s side wisely. Lord advice my trainers in identifying my weakness and help me work to improve them. Grace me to be humble and in respecting my teachers and opponents at all times. If I lose help me introspect my poor decisions of play, if I win help me raise my bar to train and further improve my skills in game, mind and body.

A few days later the parent called again and said she did win, can you pray for her next game. I replied “have spoken to your daughter now she is aware what is required of her to do her own “ASK”.

“ASK” wisely expressing your commitments, define your extra actions /sacrifices of your spiritual and worldly actions and then be worthy to the Divine’s blessings.
