Reward is a thing given in recognition of service, effort, or achievement. None but the creator’s reward must be our endeavour, thus delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. It is impossible to please Him without your faith and as the holy bible says “for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”.
“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up”. Often souls fail to or give up their part of goodness only because the mind sees no immediate, personal or materialistic gain. This wrongful worldly gyan deprives many a soul of the Creator’s rewards. “He who plants and he who waters are one and each will receive his wages according to his labour”. Even at the very last instant HE can be your Saviour. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
In the holy Quran the Surah speaks about reward; Allah has promised those who believe and do deeds of righteousness that for them there is forgiveness and a great reward. There are 6 Ayahs on Allah’s promise for good deeds. It is said if one indulges in the 7 defined good deeds they have the same reward as Hajj. All the rewards which the mind desires are with the true Guru says Gurbani. To know the way, through the Guru, is equal to millions of rewards. Unfortunate are those who fail to recognise their existing rewards. The very fact to acknowledge the precious human life as a reward should increase the hunger and faith for the Lord. HE rewards your faith and you obtain the blessed vision of the Lords Darshan and the mind is fulfilled. Do not cause any being to suffer, and you shall go to your true home with honour.
Life is wasted uselessly in the service of duality; no efforts shall be rewarded and no works brought to fruition. It is so painful to serve only mortal beings, but service to the Holy brings lasting peace and bliss. Eradicate self-conceit, perform selfless service, without thought of reward and attain the lord. With HIS mercy God blends us to Himself and hatred is gone. Scriptures reiterate night and day; meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord which is the most rewarding activity. Receive the Ambrosial Naam in the Company of the Holy and the Guru is perfectly pleased. Experience his rewards by being released from worldly entanglements and corruption. Now as I see there is no soul that has not received some rewards from HIM; those who complain have are still not aware of their holdings as rewards.
“Practice being truthful and receive all comforts and rewards”. In Gurbani Nanak speaks on behalf of the Purifier of sinners, the Creator, the Primal Being.
