A fakir passing a new locality announces his arrival Bhiksha Dena, in response a young lady opens her house door and hands over grain daan. The fakir acknowledges with thanks and notices bangles in her hands which a newlywed wears and also a prayer mala on her wrist. The fakir questions how often do you connect with the divine, regularly she answered. Acchi hai tumhari khurak, to which the lady thanks her parents who put this practice to experience divine fondness. The fakir then asked what do others eat Basi roti or taji banate hai. The young girl replied I am new to the family but as I see it is Bassi roti. Her mother-in- law hears this and angrily questions when have I given you or we have eaten Bassi roti. The daughter-in- law smiled and said mummyji the food in context is not about the food we eat. The Fakir intervenes, first praises the daughter-in-law for her understanding and then explains how a lot of us are blessed with abundance of wealth, happiness, comfort which is earnings of past deeds. To consider this as a state of permanency is wrong, each one has to keep refilling the pot (life) with Nam Simran and good deeds again and again. The words of the fakir were timely understood by mother in law who thereafter ensured Naam Simran by all in family. (Tajji roti of karmas).

King Pipa decided to take on a Guru and requested recommendations. The palatial pundits named Bhagat Ravidas but his ministers advised that he is a cobbler and of low caste. King was learned, noble and humble, understood Jaat (caste) has no relation with Bhakti and Gyan. He choose to go barefoot without guards and on reaching the hut bows down requesting Bhagat Pipa to take him as his disciple. Bhagatji forewarned this path takes a lifetime of discipline and sacrifice to experience what you seek, the king expressed his preparedness. Bhagat Ravidas could see through the humbleness of king, feeling pity and to save his time in Bhakti to get Gyan Prakash decided to open all doors for him now. Accepting him as his disciple from a smelly & dirty water container in which tools are dipped while sharpening, gives a small portion in hand to drink as Amrit, saying Kirpa will happen. The King pauses doubting the amrit and instead of drinking, slyly had the water slip down his wrist. After Bhagatji blessings the king returned to the palace and then noticed water stains on the sleeve of his royal dress immediately called for the Raj Dhobi. The dhobhi could not remove the stain, afraid of punishment was tense. His young daughter offered to help and tried sucking the stain area, while doing so fainted and when she woke started talking Gyan as if she was a Maha Gyani. In few days Rishi Munnis were visiting her, the word spread to King Pipa who goes to meet this child. When he folded his hands the child spoke, I am indebted to you as this blessing is because of you. The king replied I have never met you before so how am I responsible. The child narrated the events of removing the stain, the king realizing his mistake rushed to Bhagat Ravidas. On reaching he sincerely apologized for doubting him and the amrit intake thereby missing the blessing of Gyan Ka Prakash. Later he did do a lot of bhakti and become Bhagat Pipa whose poetic verses are in Gurbani too.

It is important we recognize our messengers, surely one cannot do it all alone and also ensure filling the pot (life) with Taji rotis all the time. (good Karmas).
